The Material

Why we machine every pill holder from solid steel.

A Cielo Pill Holder isn't stamped or molded — it's milled from a single block of stainless steel, sealed with an O-ring, and finished to last a lifetime. Here's what that buys you.

Built from the metal up

Every Cielo Pill Holder shares the same DNA, whatever size you carry.

The full range of Cielo stainless steel pill holders
01 — Solid stainless

Machined, not molded

Each holder is precision-milled from a solid bar of stainless steel — no plastic to crack, no hinge to snap, no seam to split. It's the difference between something that survives a drop and something that doesn't.

100% waterproof

Finely milled threads and a captive O-ring seal the chamber shut, keeping your medicine bone-dry through rain, sweat, the washing machine — even a scuba dive. Moisture is what breaks pills down; we keep it out.

Built to last a lifetime

Machined and finished in the USA to tight tolerances, then checked by hand. Stainless steel won't rust, won't corrode, and won't wear out — so the holder you buy today is the one you'll still carry decades from now.

The torture test

We ran one over with a forklift. It still opened smoothly.

Stainless steel doesn't flinch at the things that destroy ordinary pill cases. Drop it on concrete, leave it in a hot car, run it through the wash, take it underwater — the threads still turn and the seal still holds.

That's the whole promise: the medicine you can't be without deserves a holder you never have to baby.

Keeping it like new

Almost no maintenance, ever.

  • Rinse and wipe. Warm water and a soft cloth are all stainless steel ever needs. Dry the threads before resealing.
  • Keep the threads clean. An occasional brush keeps the seal turning smoothly — the only ritual the holder asks of you.
  • A drop of light oil on the O-ring once in a while keeps the waterproof seal supple for years.
  • No special products. No batteries, no parts to replace, nothing to wear out. It just keeps working.

Material questions

Are Cielo pill holders really waterproof?

Yes. A captive O-ring and finely milled threads seal the chamber completely, keeping your medicine dry through rain, sweat, the washing machine, and full submersion. Moisture is the main thing that degrades pills — the seal is built to keep it out.

What metal are they made from?

303 stainless steel, machined from a solid bar rather than stamped or molded — strong, corrosion-resistant, and easy to keep clean.

Will it rust or corrode over time?

No. Stainless steel resists rust and corrosion by nature, which is exactly why we use it. With basic care it stays bright and functional for decades, indoors or out.

Can it go in the dishwasher or get wet in the shower?

Water won't hurt the steel at all. We suggest hand-rinsing so the inside stays dry for your medicine, but the holder itself is built to take rain, showers, and submersion without issue.

Where are Cielo pill holders made?

They're machined and finished in Minnesota, USA, and inspected by hand before they ship. Made in the USA, built to last a lifetime.
